Administrative Assistant

Bormel, Grice, & Huyett, P.A., nationally recognized as one of The Best Accounting Firms to Work For by Accounting Today, is looking for a career-minded Administrative Assistant to join our close-knit team.   This position plays a key role in our administrative operations, accounts receivable, tax processing, and support of our CPAs and accounting staff.  You will work collaboratively across departments to help deliver a high-quality experience for both our firm and our clients. This is a full-time position located on-site at our Laurel office.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Process client records and tax returns, including scanning, printing, assembling, organization, portal setups, document management and storage

  • Manage accounts receivable, including preparing invoices and reports, following up on outstanding payments, and updating records

  • Track ongoing project timelines and deliverables, utilize project management tools accordingly

  • Provide administrative support to Partners, Firm Administrator, and back-up our receptionist

  • Maintain filing systems, digital and physical

  • Assist with planning and executing firm events, trainings, and special projects

 

Required

  • Minimum 3 years of administrative or accounting support experience

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects / tasks with attention to detail and commitment to quality.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with a public accounting or professional services firm

  • Familiarity with CCH Engagement, Axcess tax, QuickBooks, or other accounting software
