Accounting and Audit Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Audit Manager to join our growing CPA firm.  As an integral part of our management team, you’ll perform challenging work and provide trusted advice and support to our professional staff and our diverse variety of clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all phases of audit, review, and compilation engagements including planning, risk assessment, research, reporting of findings and other procedures as required.

• Prepare workpapers to document scope and findings of the engagement in accordance with AICPA standards.

• Drafting financial statements and related financial statement disclosures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Auditing Standards (GAS).

• Supervising, training, and mentoring associates on engagements.

• Manage day-to-day client relations and develop an effective working relationship with clients         

Qualifications

Required

• At least seven years’ experience in public accounting

• At least three years’ supervisory experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting

• Active CPA

• Working knowledge of tax laws

Preferred

• Excellent understanding of the peer review process

• Experienced in Benefit Plan (401k) audits
